Czech DEX is a leading consultancy company, providing a wide range of services in the field of EU projects, covering mainly the Central and South East Europe markets. Czech DEX provides services to public as well as private subjects and has a particular expertise in promoting, developing and managing transnational cooperation projects funded from various international funding programmes.

Regarding the services related to EU funded programmes Czech DEX is in a place of either a project developer and technical assistance provider to the lead partner of the project consortium or plays the role of external content assistant and technical assistance provider to project partners. Both of these roles are acknowledged by the rich references in different EU community programmes.


Czech DEX experts are successfully operating in the following community programmes:

 Horizon 2020


Horizon 2020 is the financial instrument implementing the Innovation Union - a Europe 2020 flagship initiative aimed at securing Europe's global competitiveness. This programme is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly € 80 billion of funding available over 7 years.

The programme will be focusing on the following 3 main sections:

  • Excellent science
  • Industrial leadership
  • Societal challenges


Interreg IVC logo

INTERREG IVC provides funding for interregional cooperation across Europe. Its main objective is to improve the effectiveness of regional policies and instruments and aims to contribute to the economic modernisation and competitiveness of Europe through exchange of experience and identification of good practices rising from international partner cooperation. The main areas of support are innovation and the knowledge economy, environment and risk prevention.

Czech DEX’s references in this programme are related to the technical assistance and external content assistance to project partners in the management and implementation of the following projects co-funded under INTERREG IVC:


  • Innovation 4 Welfare

Innovation 4 Welfare brought together policymakers, knowledge providers, economic and social intermediaries and health institutions, implementing projects and policies across six regions. These stakeholders share, exchange, transfer and implement good practices and renew the regional policy agenda’s. By means of interregional cooperation, Innovation 4 Welfare builds new coalitions of economic and social actors. In that way I4W became a European generator for new solutions promoting health and welfare.

Czech DEX role in this project was an external expert to one of the project partners - The regional Development Agency of South Bohemia.

  • PeriUrban

PERIURBAN is a regional initiative project, which uses interregional exchange of experiences to improve policies on management of natural suburban areas. PERIURBAN focuses specifically on policy and management solutions to mitigate pressures on biodiversity. Focus on the creation and management of parks in natural suburban areas, in line with European environment policy and redevelopment in suburban areas, can impact positively on the environment and on halting biodiversity loss.

Czech DEX supports Czech University of Life Science as one of the project partners with issues regarding technical and content assistance.

Under the Transnational cooperation programmes Czech DEX has achieved some notable references with creating the new projects as well as later on, with their implementation.

Czech DEX has been supporting and creating innovative solutions and ideas to different private and public companies and institutions. Czech DEX as the author of various projects supports the lead partners in technical and methodological management and implementation of these projects.



Centra Europe logo

CENTRAL EUROPE is an EU programme that encourages cooperation among nine central European countries: Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine. Throughout its activities it aims to improve innovative potential, accessibility and the environment and to enhance the competitiveness and attractiveness of cities and regions in the area of Central Europe.

Projects that Czech DEX has developed under this programme and during the implementation supports the lead partner are the following:


  • AutoNet

AutoNet project is international project supporting the innovation in automotive industry across the Central European leading automotive regions. The aim of the project is to facilitate and operate the AutoNet network as the sustainable network of automotive clusters in Central Europe.

Within the CLUSTERS-CORD project the partners, representing the regional business supporting actors (e.g. RDAs) have joint their forces in order to improve the regional capacity in the management and the development of clusters, through the exchange of experience and good practices and development of direct cooperation among existing actors.

  • InoPlaCe

Project InoPlaCe is targeting the young innovators as one of the key driven forces of development, bringing to regions high innovations potential. Project aims for improvement of their framework conditions on regional level.

Urban Soil Management Strategy (URBAN SMS) project joined the experience, expertise and efforts of eleven partners (research institutions and municipal authorities) from seven Central European countries. URBAN SMS defined the design and developed useful soil management strategies, applicable to urban planning to educate and raise the awareness among the responsible decision makers.

South East Europe

The South East Europe Programme aims to develop transnational partnerships on matters of strategic importance, in order to improve the territorial, economic and social integration process and to contribute to cohesion, stability and competitiveness of the region. Transnational cooperation programmes encourage a sustainable and balanced development of the European territory.

The establishment and development of transnational cooperation is part of the European Territorial Cooperation objective of EU Regional Policy.

Within the Framework of SEE TCP Czech DEX has developed and supported the lead partner during the implementation the following project:



AUTOCLUSTERS project brought together various subjects such as Universities, R&D institutions, SMEs, NMS as well as IPA partners in order to create first automotive network in South East Europe.

The second level clustering activities proposed by the project were strictly oriented on the activities, which are improving the innovation capacities in the region and improve technology and know-how transfer – making the innovation circle more effective.

COSME is the EU programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) running from 2014 to 2020 with a planned budget of €2.3bn. This programme will facilitate and improve access to finance for SMEs through the Loan Guarantee Facility and the Equity Facility for qrowth.

All businesses have access to the services of the Enterprise Europe Network and can freely approach the local partner in their region. Over 600 partner organisations in 54 countries have built a capacity to reach out to more than 2 million SMEs. Promotion of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial culture is another main objectives of COSME given the fact entrepreneurs and their new businesses are key to European growth and competitiveness.

COSME will additionaly aim at lightening the administrative burden on businesses by removing unnecessary reporting and information requirements.


Lifelong Learning Programme

The Lifelong Learning Programme: education and training opportunities for all is European Commission’s programme enabling people in all different stages of their life to take active part different types of learning experience.

Within this programme a wide range of activities such as exchanges, study visits and networking activities can take place. Projects managed under this programme are not intended only for students and individual learners, but also for teachers, trainers and all other subjects involved in the education and training processes.

 Czech DEX operates as project partner within the following project:

  • NoNEETs

Project NoNEETs running under LLP is implemented by 6 project partners across all EU (Spain, France, the Czech Republic, Italy and Romania) and its duration is 2 years (November 2013 - October 2015). Project will be dealing with NEET population (= young adults who are not in employment, education or training). Aim of the project is to contribute by educating, training and encouraging this heterogenous population to be included in both labour market and the society in general.

 Czech DEX is one of the mentioned 6 project partners responsible for the Needs Analysis of NEETs and implementation of the NoNEETs project in the Czech Republic.



PROGRESS programme is a financial tool which supports the development and coordination of EU policies in the following 5 fields:

  • employment;
  • social integration and protection;
  • working conditions;
  • discrimination;
  • gender equality.

Czech DEX knows the programme well, since it has been providing the consultations in this respect to many different interested industrial partners.
